Following the success of the One Borough One Love online festival which had over 30,000 viewers from borough residents and beyond, Barking and Dagenham Council decided to continue with their online fun and produced Barking Mad About Christmas but online.

Barking Mad About Christmas is an event that local families look forward to each year and we hope to recreate some elements online with lots of Christmas magic.

The event was pre-recorded from the Barking Town Hall and in the Barking Town Square and incorporated the switching on of the Christmas tree lights and featured Festive family feel good entertainment programme.

The event followed the latest Government guidelines with regard to Covid and health and safety and delivered an engaging event for all to enjoy and a safe event for staff, acts and contractors.
