The Women’s Empowerment Awards 2021 ceremony, in its sixth year is recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements and hard work of women from across the borough. Women’s Empowerment Month takes place in March and honours the amazing women of Barking and Dagenham, ending with the annual Women’s Empowerment Awards. These public awards mark the diverse achievements of women who live and work in Barking and Dagenham across eight different categories, six of which are open to public nominations, such as Business Woman of the year – Carole Pluckrose.
